During the meeting it was analyzed, whether implemented in practice the provisions of the Charter, which should contribute to the development of languages and applied to the Crimean Tatar language.
In particular, there were discussed issues of education, namely the availability of the Crimean Tatar language study, the presence of teachers and textbooks. In addition, members of the delegation took an interested in the situation with television, radio programs and newspapers in Crimean Tatar language.
At the end of the meeting, the delegation of the Committee of Experts of the European Charter for Regional or Minority stressed the importance of addressing issues related to the revival and development of the Crimean Tatar people returning to their homeland, as Ukraine seeks to join the European Union, respectively, must adhere to European values. In its turn, the Chairman of the Community of the Crimean Tatars in Kiev thanked the members of affinity groups delegations for their support and willingness to assist in solving problems of the Crimean Tatar people.
