Youth Kurultay in Ankara

     The Seventh Congress of the Crimean Tatar youth "Kyrymtatar yashlyk kurultayy" was held in Ankara. More than a hundred of the Crimean Tatars living in different parts of the world took part in it. The delegation from Crimea included more than twenty representatives of public youth organizations and journalists. The Head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Mustafa Cemilev also visited the Youth Kurultai.

    During the event, six committees were discussing various issues and the ways to solve them. Among them were summer and winter youth camp; creating the website devoted to the Crimean Tatars of Crimea, Romania and Turkey; the possibility of co-hosting national rites; practical ways of learning the Crimean Tatar language; the issue of  the Crimean Tatars` customs and traditions revival and preservation; the principle of non-governmental organizations.

     Next Youth Conference is scheduled for 2014. The head of the organizing committee Kurtiy SHAHIN expressed hope for the implementation of all the activities planned for the remainder of the time.
