The opening ceremony of the exhibition "Krym.Vesna.Navrez." passed on Wednesday, March 20, at the National Museum of Art named after Bogdan and Varvara Khanenko.
Curator of the project, a member of the "Crimean style", master of arts and crafts, famous artist Mamut Churlu welcomed all the guests of the event. He noted all the masters, who participated in the creation of exhibits. Among them Rustem Skibin, Ayder Asanov, Eldar Huseynov, Ayder Abibullayev, Elmira Seytametova, Elmira Asanova and young Crimean Tatar masters Zera Ablyazisova, Refat Kurtveliev and many others.
On behalf of NO "Community of Crimean Tatars in Kiev", Head of the organisation Aslan Omer Kirimli and Head of the Committee of Cultural Development Femi Mustafayev welcomed all the guests of the exibition. They pointed to the particular importance and the need to support such activities, to restore, preserve and promote the unique Crimean Tatar culture and traditions.
The exhibition promises to be an exciting and interesting not only for the Crimean Tatars, but for the general public as well, so that everyone can learn more about the culture of the Crimean Tatar people. The exhibits are made from a variety of materials using different techniques. Visitors have the unique opportunity to discover three types of embroidery, kilim weaving, several species of ceramics, jewelry work with metal, wares from wood and pumpkins, paintings on porcelain and glass, folk costumes and patterned graphics.
Residents and visitors of Kiev can attend the exhibition at the National Museum of Arts named after Bogdan and Varvara Khanenko until May 13.
